I recently upgraded to the latest IFD540 software. I am now getting multiple datalink nuisance messages. While it is an annoyance the bigger problem is that it is intermittently removing datalink weather from the display after receiving a “Datalink Stale”
message. I have a MLB700 feeding weather to both the IFD and Mx20. The Mx20 continues to show time stamps of timely updates and correctly displays the datalink weather. This occurred only after updating the IFD software. Is this a known problem that will be fixed in the next software patch?

The MLB700 uses Sirius weather which was discontinued by the weather provider SiruisXM a few years ago.  I removed my MLB700 and installed a GDL69.

Understood, however the MLB700 continues to work, the latest IFD software not withstanding.

Did you ever get the datalink message resolved?  I have an IFD440 with an NGT9000 and I am getting the datalink not received error message on almost every flight now.

I can confirm that I am continuing to receive traffic and WX after the message is seen (and acknowledged) so it appears to be a nuisance message.  Both traffic and WX come in over the same RS-232 connection from the NGT9000
