I’m having a problem with my pre set frequency list on my 550. I have loaded approach control 125.970 in my list. When I activate this preset, it loads this number but in five seconds it , on its own changes to 125.965 , a Non working com frequency. This forces me to type the 125.970 manually then activate it. If I do it that way the number doesn’t change, yet from the preset list it flips to a close number after a few seconds.
Has anyone encountered this issue? John

No, but I have had recent experiences with the com/nav frequency box’s Xed and it took several on/off cycles to straighten out

For the past few months I get this on my IFD440 on almost every startup, plus the No Com with VHF message. Sometimes multiple power cycles gets rid of it, mostly it disappears after 5-10 minutes and VHF com works again normally.

A few questions/issues here... 1. Is your radio configured for 8.33 or 25kHz spacing? 2. 125.970 is not a valid frequency in either 8.33 or 25 kHz spacing. Did you mean 125.975? 3. Looks like our com frequency preset list will accept 125.970*, though the radio will not tune it. That's why you see the radio time out back to 125.695 (assuming your radio is in 8.33 kHz mode). * That's a bug and we'll fix it (though it likely will not make it into 10.2.4.1). |
