Hello,
I just bought an used GTX330ES transponder and put it in the slot of the old GTX330. It works fine, but ADS-B out does not work, because no GPS-position is received from the IFD (still no cable). I do not find any documentation in the internet for the GTX330ES, only GTX330 (no ADS-B out). I want to interconnect the IFD540 to the GTX330ES via RS-232 for the GPS. I do not need WX or TIS, because in Europe is no WX/TIS via ADS-B available. I have ADS-B in with a TRX1500A with a AIRINC 429, which works fine on the IFD, so I do not need a GTX345. I just want to know, what I have to config in the IFD540 (ADSB+?) and what to config on the GTX330ES? I want to use a RS-232, because there is no AIRINC-out free on the IFD540. I already checked to forum to page 50 and found nothing for the GTX330ES, only for GTX345, which seems to be different. I think, I just need one cable from the IFD RS-232-out to the RS-232-in from the GTX 330ES for the WAAS GPS Position and no "return", because I just want GPS-date from the IFD540 for the ADS-B out for the GTX330ES. Another question is, is there an audio pin on the IFD which sends the traffic-and airspace warning aural to the intercom (the intercom has a "warning audio in port)? These "yellow warnings" right down in the corner, will these warnings send via this "special-audio-port"? Many thanks in advance and greetings from Germany and stay healthy..... |

You will need to connect one of the 4 RS-232 OUTPUT ports on the 440 to one of the INPUT ports on the 330ES.
Configure the output port on the 440 to: ADS-B + (G), and on the 330ES configure the input port to REMOTE. Connect pins 52 and 53 of P1001 on the 440 for audio outputs, and connect them to any unswitched inputs of your audio panel. Gene
