   I am new to this forum, and currently happy owner of an IFD-440 insalled in a TB-20 (French Registered). It might well be that my question is already answered somewhere in the forum, but I could not find it...
I like very much the IFD Trainer, but I am struggling with the fact that despite I have activated the options:

- Auto-VLOC Tuning ON
- GPS->VLOC Capture ON

The system is properly arming the VLOC for an ILS approach (GPS->VLOC Cyan), but not switching to VLOC in green when I am intercepting the LOC, despite all criterias seem to be fulfilled.

The only missing element is the ILS ident, as there is no real radio communication. If it is a limitation, it is not documentd...

Any idea?

	Hi Dominique- The auto switching from GPS to VLOC relies on the successful tuning of the localizer signal by the IFD. Since the simulator does not receive a localizer signal, the auto switching does not occur. At least, this has been my observation and explanation. Regards, Bob

	Correct, the IFD Simulator does not have an embedded navaid simulation. That's been on a todo list for as long as I can remember, but there's always something more pressing :(
