Interested in the response to this too ....

AFAIK, one needs the IFD Maint app on Windows machines to save/restore the user data from the IFD Trainer running under Windows. The problem with that is that the IFD Trainer/Maint apps under Windows have not been updated to release 10.2+ and the saved user data format changed with 10.2 and restoring pre-10.2 user data onto a 10.2+ device will cause serious problems, and that includes the panel units. Perhaps Avidyne can tell me I'm wrong on this.

No idea how/if user data can be saved/restored to/from IFD100 app, as it has never run under Windows and iOS/padOS devices essentially don't have usb support.

There is no way to save/restore settings from the panel IFD to the iPad apps.  That said, when the IFD100 is connected, it will get the settings from the panel IFD over WiFi.

The PC sim is no longer supported.  You're correct that data stored from that simulator is no longer compatible with the panel IFDs.
