10W is plenty of power for most all GA missions. A perceived lack of transmitting power in the typical GA environment is more likely due to poor cabling, bad connections, RF interference with other equipment, or a faulty antenna due to improper location, damage or defects, or wrong antenna type or model selection. None of which would be cured by increasing transmitter power. If you do need the extra power for certain specialized missions, the extra capability is worth the money.
