I have my checklist currently within my foreflight but I'd like to copy it to my IFD 540.  I know  can't transfer it like I do my fight plan but was wondering if I transferred it to a memory stick could I then download it into the IFD?  I read where you can save waypoints to a memory stick and then reinstall them.....though the explanation as how to do this is less than clear.  Can the same thing be accomplished for the checklist?

I recall having some success with offline manually editing a backup copy of a checklist from my IFD and then reimporting the modified checklist file to the IFD.  My experience was several years ago and before software version 10.2.

Be mindful of retaining the same format in the file for any changes, additions or deletions.  The file is syntax sensitive.

I would suggest keeping an unaltered backup copy of the file, just in case.

I would not even try to use a Foreflight checklist.  Just manually edit a a backup copy of the IFD file on a PC with a real keyboard.

anyone know if avidyne has published the format for the checklist / waypoint file.

i would happily write a program to manipulate the lists on a windows / mac if the format was available .. (no time to reverse engineer)
