With the IFD440 out for a while now, there must be a few of you out there with an IFD540/IFD440 combo installed. Any comments, suggestions, experience with setting up the IFD440 screen layout in that situation?

Is the map view really useful given the much larger IFD540 real estate? An obvious option would be to have the FMS page open with the flight plan. Any others that are useful?

I find myself using the 440 very often as a data entry device and FMS manager in conjunction with the 540 as the primary map display.  Unless the ability to quickly and easily disable/enable the device linkage becomes available, I have not found it very useful to have dual maps.  If the linkage was selectable as one-way or configurable data sharing, the situation might well change.

But having a fully interactive FMS is an excellent use of the 440.
