Lag/Freeze/Lock-Up

   Friends - 

In the last couple of weeks, I've had an unusual situation where my IFD540 locks-up, freezes or lags for several seconds, and then when it finally snaps back to life I'm out of position for what I was trying to do. It's happened a couple of times as I'm setting up for IFR holds. 

If it makes a difference, my data is current. Not using the IFD100 app at the moment. 

Has anyone else experienced this behavior? If so, is there a fix?
