Got my Avidyne 440 back from warranty service. Plugged it into its mounting tray and started it in Maintenance mode so I could update the database. Database updated with no errors, but gave me another error about the software date mismatch. I noticed the 440 thinks it is August 28, 2000. How do you get it to set itself to the current date. This new 440 also has software version 10.2.4. I did not know that version was released yet. What is the difference between 10.2.4 and 10.2 3.1?.
I have not check the configuration yet, but I know it will need to be set to talk to my transponder, ADS-B etc, and all my user configurations need to be re inputted. Dont know what to do with this date thing. Anyone know why or what to do to resolve this?

It sounds like the GPS rollover update isn't loaded, but that's included in 10.2.4.1. I'd be talking with your shop and they'll probably want to talk with tech support.

Another possibility is that the unit hasn't been powered up long enough to get a GPS position. Turn it on, wait for a position to become valid, then cycle power. Give that a try before calling tech support.
