For those of you waiting for Garmin to resolve the runaway trim issue on GFC 500 installations, the fix has been posted via STC SB22123. I have the STC'd G5 connected between my GFC 500 and my wonderful IFD 540, so I can point you to the download update 8.02 (corrected typo) for STC G5 installations that was posted 1-4-23.

The Garmin dealers' network just an hour or so ago updated their file hosting site per a conversation with a local Garmin dealer, so all should now be able to put their trim servos back into service.

latest G5 version on the support site is 8.02 posted on 01/4/23. Where do you see 8.03? is that a typo or I am missing something? thanks
