IFD410 pricing vs Garmin GPS 175?

   Perhaps this has been discussed and explained already?
I have an aging Garmin 400W unit in an experimental that I would like to replace with an IFD410 which currently sells for $12634 on aircraft spruce (now an official reseller).  The GPS 175 sells for $4995.

For the purposes of basic WAAS GPS approach utility I don't see why there is a $7500 difference.

And slide-in doesn't save much $ in this case.  There are very few wires to change on these GPS-only units.

Can someone from Avi help me understand the pricing for the IFD410?
