I have a Heads Up XMD076 installed in my plane. I'm looking to have the XMD076 feed XM weather to my IFD440, which became possible with the latest software release. I'm curious what maintenance mode settings are required. I assume I configure one of the RS232 channel IN to 'XMD076'. What should the OUT setting be?
Lastly, I would then like this XM weather streamed to Foreflight. Are there any additional settings needed for this functionality? I suspect I have to have the Wifi set to Local (vs. Remote that I currently have set through my Stratus)? I do realize that the necessary wire from my XMD076 to the RS232 of the IFD is needed. Appreciate any help, Russell

Did you get an answer to this post? My setup has the EX5000 MFD, so I only want to feed the XMD076 WX to the IFD440 as an aux input. The Avionics shop ran the RS-232 wiring and set the config for XMD076 aux on the IN port, but it does not work. Gives a message that the datalink has failed.
Just for grins, I set the RS-232 IN port on the #1 IFD to XMD076 which also automatically sets the matching RS232 OUT port to the same setting. In that setting the WX appeared on the #2 IFD but not on the one configured. Does not disrupt the display on the MFD at all. Does anyone else with a “cirrus-type” config have the XMD076 working as an aux input to the IFD440? Maybe I have a specific unit failure? Is this a bug that will be fixed in the next SW? Thanks for the help!!!
