Loading FP from panel to ForeFlight problem

   Maybe I dreamed this…new to the IFDs - but I thought when I pulled the flight plan ‘from the panel to ForeFlight’ it imported the active plan at its current position?
Example:  load flight plan, take off, get a short cut from ATC now’Direct To’ some waypoint down the line.  Very common.  So I go to ‘load FPL from panel’ to match it up on ForeFlight and it just loads the original flight plan.

Am I missing something?  Could have swore it worked this way the first few flights I took with the new equipment.
