Those that say, don't know; and those that know, can't say. And, bottom line, probably no one really knows.
Avidyne got burned pretty badly in the past, by a small vocal minority, when they tried to keep customers in the loop by making public their ETAs for releases. So now, they keep their cards close to their vest.

No estimated date. We were trying to make it a nice Christmas present, but that just didn't work out.

I am also anxiously awaiting 10.2.4.1. The high speed (baud) connection between the IFD and the Aspen PFD/MFD has been broken since the IFD's were updated to 10.2.3.1. It sounds like 10.2.4.1 will fix this.

I believe there is a setting change you can make in the IFD to fix this. I have an IFD-540 with 10.3.2.1 and Aspen EFD 2000 MAX. Initially, I had a problem with that connection, but my avionics installer changed a setting in the IFD to fix it.

Do you have the ACU 2?
I have the Pro Max as well, but the ACU 1.

I look forward to the update and I don't even know what is in it. I just want to thank Avidyne for the ongoing mostly free software updates to date (just need A&P/shop labor to sign off on or do the job). I just read about another company that will be charging $500 for updated software on their unit to add some features. Add A&P/Avionics shop labor to that and it just isn't worth it to me.
I love my Avidyne IFD550...just wish there were some other products I could purchase instead of giving money to other companies I hate to do business with.

Thanks to Avidyne for providing all these updates and enhancements... 10.2.4.1 will be ready when it's ready. I am glad I have a full Avidyne stack in my Cirrus! Great product. Happy New Year!

I don't know of any setting that will allow split baud rates in 10.2.3.1.

I just redownloaded the ifd100 app and it says it is software version 10.2.4.1. This seems incompatible with the 10.2.3.1 that is on the unit as it keeps throwing errors it didn't before. Is that the case?

Yes, unless you are running the OS 9 limit that applies to the older IPads, if you are using an older IPad do not download this update for the 100, it will make your IPad virtually unusable in the cockpit....
Specifically, iOS support for each regular iPad model follows:

One data point: I have an "iPad Mini 4" made in 2015 that has the latest iOS (13.3) installed.

I don't know of any setting that will allow split baud rates in 10.2.3.1. | I don't think the problem is with split baud rates. RS-232 UARTS can only have one baud rate at a time for both RX & TX. I believe it is a change in the default or port setting name. I believe additional settings were added and meaning changed in 10.3.2.1 and the IM doesn't fully cover that change for Aspen installs. My avionics guy had to spend some time on the phone with Support to get the right answer. Below is my IFD and Aspen working together just fine with 10.2.3.1

Is that the Air data 429, GPS 429 or the Aspen>IFD RS-232 connection?

It is probably not relevant to this discussion, but there is one item which is a part of the Aspen Pro to Aspen MAX conversion which speaks to RS232 port speed (from the MAX install guide):
PFD/MFD installations only, set both the PFD and MFD(s) installation menu page “RS232 CONFIG C” to “HIGH” on all 232 IN PORT 4, 232 IN PORT 5 and 232 OUT PORT 2 that are not grayed out.

From my wiring diagrams that is only for the PFD<>MFD communication channel, and does not involve the IFD.
The only RS232 connection between the Aspen EFD and IFD on my wiring diagrams is PFD RS232 TX3 to IFD RS 232 RX(1 or 3 need to verify). IFD Port 3 IN is set to Shadin-adc, Port 1 IN is set to Shadin-fadc, which I believe is the JPI EDM-830.
