Hey gang, just discovered something that works pretty good.

Some of you may already do this, if so..it's a well duh moment for me.

Anyhow, after reading about the split screen thing, with foreflight and the ifd100.

I got to thinking, I wonder if this would work ok with the simulator, and Mike's book.

Yes, it does. With a little compromise.

The kindle ios app supports split screen now.

What I did was start the sim first and set everything up in the sim. IE choose my unit etc.

Then I followed the steps for split screen, pulling up the kindle app, hence Mike's book.

It works. The book is only about 2 inches wide, but you can read it quite well. Now, f you need to set something on the sim, just move the book offscreen, or to the left or right of the sim.

Now you can follow Mike's book, and use the sim at the same time!

Hope this may help some folks, learning the IFD. Of course, the PG is a must read
