The heading slider is no longer accessible on the IFD trainer.

You can display the heading slider, but if you try to drag it, you instead change to another app, or the app list pops up.

What you can do until a fix has been accomplished is put a finger somewhere on the lower portion of the screen on the grey below the COM/VLOC knob. This will keep the screen from moving while you adjust the heading slider.
