I am looking at replacing a Garmin GNS480 and would like to go with the Avidyne IFD440 instead of the Garmin GTN650 but need to ensure there won't be any issues between the IFD and a Garmin G3x with G3x Autopilot. Anyone know of any integration and/or communication issues?

I know a guy with this setup and it works great. I think he had to install a loaner Garmin GNS for this installer to do it though, because IFD is not on the g3x stc and g3x is not on the IFD stc… so he put in the GNS, installed the g3x and then swapped the GNS for IFD. Says it works great.
