I'd like to feed RS-232 data from my 440 to a uAvionix AV-30-C. The installation manual shows the following:

I think what I have to do is:
  1. Confirm no other channel is configured for "Aviation" output.
  2. Select an available RS-232 output and wire it to the AV-30 GPS RS-232 input pin.
  3. On the IFD RS-232 configuration page, configure the associated channel's for "Aviation" output.
Am I understanding this correctly?

AFAIK - starting with AviOS 10.2.0.0; Aviation format RS-232 output can be configured on more than one RS-232 output channel.

We have 2 output channels configured for Aviation on one of our IFD440s with 10.2.4.1, they work fine

IFD-540 and the AV30E are a great combination. Currently flying this while I wait for parts for a G3X installation in my Long EZ.

Av30E will become a dedicated traffic screen until the Garmin stuff goes T/U. Then I push the button on the AV30 and that becomes my everything to get me home...
