If "intermittent" in the title didn't make you skip right over this topic, thank you!!

IFD 540 occasionally has a 3 or 4 second delay in refreshing the moving map and datablocks.

I have noticed this with GPS and VHF mode, with and without an active flight plan during:

1) Track up map orientation

2) Turns that exceed 90 degrees

I have NOT noticed this during the (very many) ILS/LOC/VOR/RNAV approaches I have been practicing, when my beady little eyes are back on the trend line (love that feature) every 5 seconds in the scan. That does not mean it's not happening - I may be missing it. CFII is seeing it also, so I'm not hallucinating.

Avidyne reviewed system logs and said box was okay.

Has anyone else experienced something like this? Thanks.
