I have two iPads running IFD100 for AviOS 10.3 connected to
my airplane’s IFD540 running AviOS 10.3.1.2. I skipped the AviOS 10.3.0.2
upgrade so I only recently switched to using the IFD100 for AviOS 10.3. With
both iPads (a mini 5th gen and Pro 11” both running iOS 16.4.1 and
configured as IFD iPad 1 and 2 respectively in the IFD100 app settings) I noticed
I was getting a Configuration Error message in the IFD100 app at times. Per the
Knowledge Base article regarding this, I uninstalled both the IFD100 and IFD
Trainer apps and reinstalled on one of the two iPads with the same results.
At the time, I had two named Users on each
IFD100. For both of my IFD100 apps, what appears to trigger the Configuration
Error is: either starting the IFD100 already on the user 2 or switching from user
1 to user 2 while WiFi connected to the panel IFD. Essentially, anytime user 2
was selected, the associated IFD100 generates a Configuration Error CAS on the associated
IFD100. The message seems to only clear if User 1 is selected and the associated
IFD100 is then closed and reopened.
Ultimately, I cleared the name out of user 2 so that only user
1 is named and in use on both IFD100s. This configuration doesn’t generate the Configuration
Error message on either IFD100 and the user cannot accidentally be switched
because there isn’t a LSK to switch users if only one is named. This
configuration also only allows use of one of the ten available users in IFD100
for AviOS 10.3.
I don’t recall ever having this issue with multiple IFD100 users
when running IFD100 for AviOS 10.2 or prior. Has anyone else experienced this
same anomaly in IFD100 for AviOS 10.3?
