I fly in the South of England and use Farnborough Radar (125.250), Solent Radar (120.230) and others. Unfortunately they never show up in Enroute Frequencies. I do see a long list of London Control Center frequencies that we never need. Can I change the criteria for displaying Enroute Frequencies in my Avidyne 540?

There is no option for this on the IFDs. The Avidyne is very US-centric in this area and the frequencies and ATS unit structure is very different in Europe, incl by country. I have always had a similar complaint about FIS frequencies which are also missing.

Thanks Vince. Perhaps as more people buy IFD's in the UK this will be addressed. I do love my Avidyne and there are few things I would want to change. Airspace priority is one of them which I will ask about in a new Post. I now suspect the UK vs US difference is a factor.

I wonder how much of that is a Jeppesen database issue and not an Avidyne issue?

I wonder too. If may be that the frequencies are simply missing from the Jepp navdata. We'll see if Avidyne adds any comment.

The Jeppesen database has the data. We've done some work in 10.3.2.2 to include better support for FIS, but I just checked and the two frequencies mentioned by Dominic in the original post are still not included.

How about the two FIS in Switzerland: Zurich Info 124.70 and Geneva Info 126.350?

Yes, they are on the Nearest FSS list. Not on the frequency list, however. Sounds like we need to do some work on the frequency list to better support operations outside the US. Once we're over this 10.3.2.2 / Vantage hump, I'll start doing some research and run a few ideas by some of you. It may be difficult to satisfy all of the varying jurisdictions, but maybe there's a core set that we can find in common.

Is that a screenshot of the trainer? If so, what databases? I‘ll check in the aircraft, but in my trainer with current navdata Europe 2413, software 10.3.2, my nearest FSS list is empty…

That is a screenshot of an emulation that we use here in the office. It's running 10.3.2.2 with 2413 data.

Thought so. So the FSS fields will be populated with 10.3.2.2. Hopefully will be out by spring. It‘s been 2 years since last release 10.3.1.2.
