What are the prerequisites for an Entegra PFD to display vertical guidance for an IFD generated visual approach? Mine used to show the guidance and it was a nice secondary reference to have in front of you. Lately I've only been getting lateral guidance on visual approaches.

I did however recently disable VNAV in setup mode, since I know the Entegra is incapable of displaying enroute VNAV guidance, and I wanted to get rid of the annoying VNAV-direct LSK. Did this also blow up my visual approach vertical guidance? I couldn't find anywhere in the pilot guide that indicated the VNAV feature was required for visual approach vertical guidance.

Thanks!

Did you disable "Enroute VNAV" or "VNAV Labels"?  Sounds like maybe you did the latter.

It was Enroute VNAV that I disabled in setup mode, on the Main System Config page. Where is that other option for VNAV Labels? I just searched the IFD installation guide rev 25 and don't see that text in there anywhere.

On some visual approaches I get vertical guidance and others I don’t. I believe there is both a relative altitude, speed, and possibly angle to the final approach course for the vertical guidance to appear. You can play with it in the simulator to get any idea of what’s required.
