The first two of the Pilot Program IFD540s have been installed in customer aircraft. Another handful get installed within a week.

is the FAA interested and will they be looking at the results or is this mostly for Avidyne?

FAA doesn't know or care about this program - it's just for Avidyne and the customers. We are using it to ferret out any entry-to-service issues so that we can go full rate production/shipment as soon as we have TSO/STC.
