I believe I read that pre-ship customers are to receive an additional year of no-cost, full coverage warranty. So instead of the standard one year, it is to be extended to two years. This is aside from any considerations of the additional AeroPlan extended warranty.

When I registered my unit on the Avidyne site, it indicated that my warranty is one year only. As a pre-ship customer, if my understanding is correct, how do I ensure that I will indeed get two years of coverage?

Pre-buy folks get two years of standard warranty and a signed AeroPlan extends that to three years.

New purchase folks get one year of standard warranty and a signed AeroPlan extends that to three years.

Orest,

Which unit did you register?  Your original Pre-Buy unit that turned out to have a problem or your replacement unit (maybe not offically assigned a pre-buy slot)?

FWIW, I just logged in and checked my status.  My warranty expires on 11-13-2016.  So, I got the two-year warranty, without signing the waiver.  The system did work for me.

I registered my original unit. I will need to give them a call I think.

Yah, give Tech Support a call.  That's what they do for a living.

AviJake,

My unit is finally being installed this week due to having to cancel previous installation attempts due to delayed delivery of my units.  Apparently my warranty started ticking back in December.  Is there any ways to reset that to today since the install delays were due to Avidyne.
