   Just flew with my newly installed ART2000 Bendix radar displaying on my IFD540.  Worked great!  Was able to circumnavigate storms I would not have attempted with only XM radar.  I will pass on my experience with the install.  I had to buy a $3.5k card for the Avidyne, the Bendix module had to be programmed to talk to the Avidyne,  the mount on my Baron had to have a little reinforcement plate added.  The total installment (including card and reprogramming) cost $7.4k.  It displayed nicely but does not overlay the moving map.  It is a stabilized unit, but unless you have a digital AI, like an Aspen or a G5 Garmin you have to use it without stabilization. I don’t think that is such a big deal in my type of flying.  At present is wont work on the IFD100
