I understand that the GDL 69 will interface with the IFD 540. Does it show all the weather my 696 will... i.e. TFR's, METARs, TAFs, winds aloft, etc.?

Yes. Here is a link to a page that shows what weather products are supported by the IFD540 as of Release 10.0.3.0. http://www.avidyne.com/products/ifd540/ifd-weather.asp
I have a 496 on my glareshield in the company test airplane and can personally vouch for all the weather products displaying on both the IFD and the 496 (same as 696).
That list will be modified as part of Release 10.1.0.0 in the spring when we start supporting ADS-B weather as well. |
