PG p5-17 - ... transitioning to 350 feet either side at the runway threshold (slightly looser than a localizer)

Actually, a localizer is always setup to be exactly 700ft wide at the runway threshold, 350ft to either side.

Suggest:  ... transitioning to 350 feet either side at the runway threshold (the same as a localizer)

I might have found a typo in the installation manual as I troubleshoot a communication issue with my Shadin Miniflo fuel computer.

The Avidyne manual refers to a "Shadin 91204XM," which is not a model that appears in The Google. [EDIT or perhaps this typo originated with G***** ]  The Miniflo is a 91204XT-D and the Microflo is 91204XT-38-D.  Can I assume that 9204XM in the installation manual is intended to be 91204XT?

Yes, those Shadin fuel flow computers have a typo.  They are correct in the installation drawings in the back of the book but the data listed in Section 2.3 Interfaces and in Section 7.5.3 RS-232 Port Configurations are wrong and will be corrected in the Install Manual that comes out with Rel 10.0.3.0.

The Shadin fuel flow's that are supported include:

91204XT(38)D Miniflo-L
91204XT-D Miniflo-L
91053XP Digiflo-L
91053XT-D Digiflo-L
91802-() DigiData

My 540 s are not getting any input from the miniflo. The installer says all the wiring is good. Any suggestions?

Work fine in our lab and airplanes. Can you send your exact setup page configuration from Mx Mode?  It's the RS-232 configuration page I care about and is the 2nd one in Mx Mode Configuration tab.  You can also send the logs if that's easier since we can extract the setup from there.
